What is pet loss support?
Pet loss support offers a compassionate space to talk about your grief. It lets you honor the relationship you had with your pet. It’s not formal counselling. It’s about having someone who understands what you’re going through. This support can help you feel less alone during a difficult time.
How is this different from therapy or counselling?
Rainbow Moments UK provides informal, peer-based emotional support. Counselling focuses on clinical mental health. Our support is designed to gently guide you through your grief. We offer understanding, shared experience, and practical coping ideas.

Is this support only for recent losses?
Not at all. You may be facing a loss now. You could also be struggling with one from years ago. Perhaps you are supporting a pet nearing the end of life. There’s no timeline on grief.
Do you support people dealing with missing or rehomed pets?
Yes. Loss isn’t always about death. The pain of separation through re-homing or a missing pet can bring similar grief. We’re here for those journeys too.
Do you support children or families?
Yes, we can guide parents and carers in how to support children with pet loss. We offer gentle sessions suited to younger individuals if needed.
Is in-person support available?
Yes — in-person support may be available locally (Colliers Wood & nearby areas). This could include attending difficult appointments with you or helping organise a remembrance for your pet.
Is the support confidential?
Absolutely. Everything you share is held in confidence and handled with care, in line with UK data protection laws.
