1. Who We Are
This website is operated by Rainbow Moments, a sole trader service providing pet loss and grief support across the UK. Our website address is: https://petlosssupport.uk. Rainbow Moments is run solely by me, Michelle Giles — a certified Pet Loss & Grief Support Specialist.

2. What Personal Data We Collect & Why
Booking & Support Services: I collect your name, contact details, preferred contact method (e.g. WhatsApp, Zoom), basic information about your pet and loss, and notes (if applicable). This is used solely to provide support and manage bookings. Your data is never shared or sold.

Comments: If you leave a comment, I collect the data in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help spam detection. An anonymised string (hash) from your email may be sent to the Gravatar service. View their privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Media: If you upload images, avoid including location data (EXIF GPS). Other users may extract this data from images on the site.

Cookies: If you comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies. These last one year. Additional cookies are used for login sessions, admin access, and content editing.

3. Embedded Content from Other Sites
Articles may include embedded content (e.g. videos, social posts). These sites may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction as if you visited their site directly.

4. Who I Share Your Data With
I do not share your data with third parties unless legally required. Password reset requests include your IP address. Comments may be checked through spam detection services.

5. How Long I Keep Your Data
Session data and notes are retained for up to 7 years. Comments are stored indefinitely. Registered user profile data (if applicable) is kept until you request deletion.

7. How Your Data Is Stored
All data is stored securely using password-protected systems. Client notes are never shared. Messaging platforms used (e.g. WhatsApp) are encrypted and confidential.
